To cut the chase - i am making some Indie casual games. By casual i mean they are nowhere near behemoths such as Baldurs Gate. More like Desktop Dungeon style. Basically its a game you can play as much as you want but the idea is to deliver the player as much fun as possible in the shortest amount of time.
A typical games you would play when waiting for a bus, or in your coffee break down the office, or when you have half an hour and you don't know what to do with it and yet you want some sort of entertainment.
I am making such games. But i have a hard time to name the price per each copy. I know that bigfish companies charge the player even around 30-60 bucks but the content they delive is totaly out of my rich. I was thinking about 5-10 euro. Thats enough for me to not starve and at the same time to not ruin the players wallet badly. I would charge less but the costs of hosting, taxes and money transfer fee of PayPal when being small alone - add up and eats almost half of the profit. So out of that 5-10 euro by the end of he day i would earn about 2,5-5 euro. Which wouldnt be a problem if i would hit the sell of 10mil copies (minecraft lol) but being realistic - i wont dream of more then 2-5 sold copies per day... and actualy i would be DAMN happy to have a base min. of 5 copies per day!
So how much you guy would be willing to pay for an Indie Casual Title that suits your taste?
